Hey there!
I've been a figure model since 2017, and I LOVE IT.
I honestly think everyone should try figure or portrait modeling at least once in their life. It's incredibly empowering, and sometimes, the artists give you artwork of yourself for free (it's pretty rare, but it does happen).
In the Art World:
-
Figure Modeling: Typically involves modeling in the nude, allowing artists to study the human anatomy and capture the form in its most natural state.
-
Portrait Modeling: This involves clothed modeling, focusing on capturing facial expressions, characters, and attire.
I welcome individuals of all experience levels—whether you're a novice interested in exploring this field or a professional model seeking new opportunities. You're ready to start if you can stay still for 20 minutes.
FIGURE MODELING
I currently host figure sessions at Free Range Brewery in NoDa. Our sessions are every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. These sessions are in a functional brewery, and this location is not for the shy of heart. At this location, the posture schedule is as follows.
10x 1 min postures

3x 20 min postures, each with a break in between
PORTRAIT MODELING
I currently host portrait sessions at The VAPA Center in Uptown CLT with Kevin Harris. Our sessions run on alternating Wednesdays. 1st and 2nd are 2 - 5pm, and 3rd and 4th are 6 - 9pm. For more info, click here.
At this location, we offer 1 posture for 3 hours. The model will sit for 20 mins and then break for 10 min throughout the 3 hours.
